Andrew C. Mathews
Thespis was founded by Producer, Director, Writer, Actor, Andrew C. Mathews who started as an actor at the prestigious Academy Of Live And Recorded Arts in London, England. His training lead to impeccable performances in various productions which won him numerous acting awards including the coveted Gold Medal Acting Award. He is also the recipient of the Society Of British Fight Directors Award for armed and unarmed combat.
When Sam Kogan, a world renowned acting teacher from Constantine Stanislavski's Moscow Art Theatre heard about Mathews, he invited him to attend the School Of The Science Of Acting where he excelled in acting, directing and producing. He was one of the first to use the Stedicam when only three were in existence. He implemented unique camera techniques and innovative angles that showed depth, style and perception and he pushed actors to stretch their imaginations.
Mathews has been a titan in business since the age of 15, operating the family-owned supermarkets and launderettes in London and building them into highly profitable ventures through business forecasting. He secured many service contracts from clients such as; Her Majesty's Government Treasury Department; Levi Strauss; Heathrow Airport; and Mayday Hospital.
He founded Mathews Properties for the purpose of purchasing real estate. His portfolio is rapidly growing, already boasting some of London and Californias most prestigious properties. Now with assets in the millions, there is no end in site for this clever entrepreneur and future film mogul. Not only does he purchase prime properties, he also has acquired a cache of intellectual properties that are guaranteed to yield high interest.
Robyn Starr
Director of Development - Robyn Starr brings years of journalism and film experience to Thespis. She attended the University of Southern California, alma mater of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg respectively. She also attended the renowned Hollywood Script Writing Institute in Hollywood where she specialized in screenwriting, including story structure, development, dialogue and characterization. Starr has also worked in the production and development of music videos and analyzed over 300 scripts.
Guy Skinner
Director of Photography - Guy Skinner has worked his creative imagery through the motion picture industry for the past 40 years. As a Director of Photography he communicates the visual landscape of the director, utilizing extraordinary symmetry and composition that transcends an audience.
He has worked on 45 commercials for clients such as, United Airlines, Reebok, Pepsi and Buick. He has worked on over 370 motion picture productions. He has worked with Francis Ford Coppola, Ridley Scott and Joel Schumacher.
